About the technology

EMS RF is a modern, non-invasive technology combining electromagnetic muscle stimulation with radiofrequency. Treatment simultaneously engages muscles and thermally acts on the treated tissues, supporting body contouring, skin tightness and strengthening of selected body areas.

The technology is intended both for active people wishing to complement regular training and patients beginning to improve muscle condition and body appearance.

How does EMS work?

EMS uses electromagnetic energy to produce intense, repeated muscle contractions. These occur independently of the patient’s conscious effort and may engage muscles at an intensity difficult to achieve during a short, standard workout.

In response to stimulation, muscles perform a series of contractions and adapt, as they do during exercise. Regular treatment may support:

  • muscle strengthening,
  • improved muscle tone and endurance,
  • more visible muscle definition,
  • improved stabilisation of selected body areas,
  • body contouring,
  • complementing a training plan.
How does radiofrequency work?

RF radiofrequency produces controlled tissue heating in the treatment area. Thermal action may support local microcirculation, tissue metabolism and processes responsible for skin tightness and elasticity.

Combining RF with muscle stimulation allows work at several levels: muscle condition, skin appearance and body proportions.

Temperature and treatment intensity are controlled and adapted to the patient’s individual sensations.

What effects may EMS RF support?

Treatment may target:

  • muscle strengthening and firming,
  • improved skin tightness,
  • contouring of selected body areas,
  • enhanced abdominal muscle definition,
  • lifting and shaping of the buttocks,
  • improved arm and thigh appearance,
  • support for reducing local fatty tissue deposits,
  • improved body proportions,
  • preparation of muscles for regular activity,
  • complementing sports training.

EMS RF is not a weight-loss method and does not replace exercise or appropriate nutrition. The best results are obtained by combining treatments with a healthy lifestyle and regular physical activity.

Treatment areas

Depending on the treatment aim, EMS RF may be used on:

  • abdomen,
  • buttocks,
  • thighs,
  • arms,
  • calves,
  • selected back areas.

The programme, applicator placement and intensity are selected individually.

What happens during treatment?

Before therapy, we carry out a consultation and exclude contraindications. Applicators are placed on the selected body area, with their position adapted to the muscle group we want to engage.

Intensity is increased gradually, considering comfort and the body’s response. Distinct, rhythmic muscle contractions and warmth from radiofrequency are felt during treatment.

The treatment requires neither anaesthesia nor recovery time. You can return to everyday activities immediately afterwards. Temporary muscle fatigue similar to that after intensive training is possible.

How many treatments are needed?

A series of treatments at regular intervals is most often recommended. The number of sessions depends on:

  • initial muscle condition,
  • the treatment area,
  • the treatment aim,
  • physical activity level,
  • the body’s individual response.

Maintenance sessions may be planned after completing a course. Results develop gradually and may vary between individuals.

Contraindications

Treatment is not performed during pregnancy or in people with a pacemaker, implanted electronic devices or metal implants in the treatment area, among other contraindications.

Contraindications may also include certain heart conditions, epilepsy, active cancer, acute inflammation, recent injuries, sensory disorders, unhealed wounds, recent surgery and particular muscle or nervous-system conditions.

Final eligibility always depends on the device, treatment area and the patient’s current health.
